How to Calculate concrete volume

             HOW TO CALCULATE CONCRETE VOLUME

1️⃣ For Rectangular Slab / Footing / Beam

📌 Formula:

Volume = Length × Width × Height (Thickness)

If slab size is:

  • Length = 20 ft

  • Width = 15 ft

  • Thickness = 0.5 ft (6 inches)

Calculation:

👉 Volume = 150 cubic feet

If you want in cubic meter:

1 m³ =35.3147 ft³1 \text{ m³ } = 35.3147 \text{ ft³} 150÷35.3147=4.25 m³ (approx)150 ÷ 35.3147 = 4.25 \text{ m³ (approx)}

2️⃣ For Column (Rectangular)

Volume=Length×Width×Height

Example:

  • 1.5 ft × 1 ft × 10 ft
    = 15 ft³

3️⃣ For Circular Column / Pile

📌 Formula:

Volume=πr2h

Where:

  • r = radius

  • h = height

  • π = 3.14

4️⃣ For Staircase (Rough Method)

Volume=(Totallength×Width×Averagethickness)

🔥 Quick Site Tip (Very Important)

After calculating volume:

✔ Add 3%–5% extra for wastage
✔ For PCC, add 5% extra
